Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. (3 days office based, 2 days WFH)
Reports to: HR Manager
Location: Harlow, Essex. Easily commutable from London Liverpool Street or Tottenham Hale Station. We offer a free minibus service to/from Harlow Town Train Station as well as free parking and EV charging on site.

About the role:
In this HR Business Partner position, you'll be working hand-in-hand with members of the Senior Leadership Team, building strong relationships and really getting to grips with their needs. You'll act as a trusted adviser, helping team managers stay on top of people processes, making sure everything runs smoothly and by the book. Whether it's answering queries about HR policies or steering managers through challenges, you'll be ready to offer sound advice at every turn.
You'll also collaborate closely with the talent and HR teams, making sure the organisation gets a proactive and effective HR service that supports everyone. On top of this, you'll have the chance to take the lead on important people-focused projects and initiatives, driving positive change and helping the business move forward.
What you will be doing:
Employee Relations
* Build meaningful relationships with managers and key stakeholders, becoming their go-to person for all things HR.
* Be on hand to offer clear, practical advice and support on everything from employment policies and absence issues (including Occupational Health referrals), to disciplinary matters, grievances, performance management, restructures and redundancies—helping to steer managers through each step with confidence.
* Keep everyone on the right side of employment law, making sure managers stay fully compliant at all times.
* Take charge of communicating and managing any changes to employment terms and conditions, making sure everyone's in the loop and understands what's happening.
* Champion best practice in employee relations cases, always on the lookout for ways we can do things better and keep improving how we look after our people.
Key Stakeholder Management
* Get together regularly with key stakeholders for dynamic, forward-thinking meetings that drive real progress.
* Work shoulder-to-shoulder with stakeholders to bring people initiatives to life—think rolling out employee survey action plans, supercharging perform and develop reviews, and pinpointing development needs to help everyone shine.
* Share insightful, meaningful data that sparks engaging conversations about where we can do better and seize new opportunities for improvement.
* Play an influential part in the Senior Leadership Team by championing the People agenda and making your mark in wider business discussions.
* Team up with the Training team to spot skill gaps and craft creative solutions that unlock development opportunities for colleagues.
Information and Service Delivery
* Keep our HR policies and procedures up to date, making sure they're always in line with the latest changes in the law.
* Use practical, relevant HR data to help managers spot where things could be better and support them in boosting team performance.
* Take care to make sure all our HR information is accurate and reliable, so everyone can trust the data they're working with.
HR Projects and Initiatives
* Get hands-on with bringing our HR annual business plan to life, making sure we all move in the right direction together.
* Take the lead on our blended working approach and run our twice-yearly reviews, involving everyone from all areas of the business.
* Team up with the HR Manager to keep our Employee Engagement plans fresh, forward-thinking, and packed with positive energy.
Other duties.
* Play an active part in our HR Business Partner Forum and team get-togethers, bringing fresh ideas and energy to the table.
* Offer friendly, one-to-one support and practical coaching to new managers or those who've just stepped up, helping them settle in and succeed.
* Step in to lend a hand and cover for your HR teammates whenever it's needed, making sure things always keep running smoothly.
Your experience:
Must haves:
* CIPD qualification or equivalent HR qualification and/or experience.
* Experienced operational HR professional with proven track record of achievements.
* Confident and influential decision maker.
* Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation.
* Ability to prioritise workload according to business needs.
* High level IT skills, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
* Ability to proactively analyse problems and develop practical solutions.
Nice to haves:
* Familiar with using HRIS systems.
* Experience of delivering 1-2-1 and group training.
* Knowledge of payroll systems and procedures.
