Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking to represent an experienced SEND specialist senior leader for a permanent executive leadership job in and around the West Midlands. If you are a SEND (MLD or PMLD) specialist who is seeking a new leadership job from September 2025 or January 2026, we would be keen to speak with you.
If you are an experienced senior leader who has worked within a SEND specialist (SLD or PMLD) MAT or trust and have worked with either primary or secondary phases this role may be for you. The role is offered as a full time, permanent post overseeing a small group of SEND specialist sites in the West Midlands. Initially you would be overseeing an alternative provision school in the Kidderminster area, however your role would grow quickly into an executive leadership role with responsibility for further sites in and around the West Midlands. A small element of this role can be offered as work from home, and you would have substantial autonomy in terms of your schedule depending on the needs of your sites. Further benefits also apply.
Typically, the sites cater for pupils aged 7-17 with SEND requirements such as severe learning difficulties and/or profound and multiple learning difficulties and class sizes are small (5-6). This site is part of a national trust who are focussed on supporting children with complex behaviours and needs. Their pupils have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences, and they work closely with them to develop self-belief to become effective learners. If you are of a similar mindset and ethos, we would be very happy to discuss the role in more detail.
An informal meeting via Teams will be offered as a starting point for you to gain a full understanding of the school and ethos of the trust. This would then be followed with a tour of the site and a meeting with the Headteacher and Regional Director.
