CDM Consultant / CDM Contractor (Contract)
Location: London / South East (Remote with travel to client sites)
Engagement: Contract 3–4 days per week
Rate: £580/day + approved expenses
Duration: 3-4 Months initially
Overview: We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Consultant to support the delivery of CDM advisory services across infrastructure and energy projects, including work with major regulated clients (e.g. National Grid environments).
This is a hands-on delivery role supporting Principal Designer duties across the design and pre-construction phases.
The position combines remote working with periodic travel to project and client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of CDM advisory services under CDM Regulations 2015
* Assist in fulfilling Principal Designer responsibilities
* Develop and maintain Pre-Construction Information (PCI)
* Maintain and update Design Risk Registers
* Review Construction Phase Plans (CPP) and RAMS documentation
* Support design risk management and safe-by-design principles
* Participate in design team meetings and stakeholder coordination
* Conduct site visits and prepare safety reports where required.
Required Experience:
* Experience working under CDM Regulations 2015
* Previous involvement in Principal Designer or CDM Advisor roles
* Experience within infrastructure, utilities, or energy projects desirable
* Comfortable working in client-facing consultancy environments
* Strong communication and coordination skills.
Logistics:
* London / South East-based preferred
* Remote delivery with travel as required
* 3–4 days per week contract
