Role Description
This is a freelance, on-site role for Acting and Vocal Coaches at AFONSO SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS, based in Berkhamsted. Coaches will provide instruction in acting techniques, drama, and/or voice training, preparing students for LAMDA examinations.
Daily tasks will include conducting classes, preparing students for performances and examinations, mentoring individuals to improve their craft, and contributing to the overall success of the performing arts program. Additionally, coaches will work collaboratively with the rest of the faculty and participate in casting and production efforts for school projects.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Acting and Drama with experience in teaching and training students of varying skill levels and ages
In the role of vocal coach - knowledge of Music and Vocal performance, with the ability to provide effective vocal coaching
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to mentor and inspire students
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and professionals
A background or degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Music, or a related field is highly desirable
Experience in a similar coaching role is a plus
A passion for teaching and inspiring the next generation of performing artists
