You will gain experience across a variety of clinical specialities, working closely with pharmacists and other health care professionals to deliver a high quality, patient focussed medicines management service. Main duties of the jobThe main duties will depend on previous experience but will encompass: Working as an Accredited Checking and Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician.- Dispensing and issuing prescriptions both in the department and at ward level- Participation in the ward based medicines management service undertaking accurate drug histories, assessing patients medication for suitability to use, organising supplies for patients use when in hospital and at discharge and providing advice and counselling to patients ( if not accredited you will be expected to undertake the all Wales qualification to allow you to undertake this aspect of the role)Working for our organisationCwm Taf Morgannwg (CTM) University Health Board, part of NHS Wales, serves a large population across a diverse and beautiful region, steeped in history and heritage.
