Requirements
The duties of this position involve regulated work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, to undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal employment offer is made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are continuously updated; any relevant information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary position based at Crosshouse Communication Centre, Crosshouse, with four posts available:
* 35 hours, until 3 April 2026
* 28 hours, until 26 June 2026
* Two 21-hour posts, until 15 May 2026 and 26 June 2026
The work pattern is directed by the Head Teacher. The full-time salary ranges from £40,305 to £50,589 per annum. Part-time salaries are:
* 28 hours: £32,244 - £40,471 per annum
* 21 hours: £24,183 - £30,353 per annum
