Responsibilities:
Your role will also involve performing concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects. You will be responsible for delivering design work, conducting inspections, and providing construction site support for major infrastructure projects. Proficiency in analysis and design using engineering software such as TEDDS, Tekla and IDEA StatiCA is essential, along with the ability to produce hand calculations.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will prepare various documents, including calculations, CDM activities, material specifications, technical reports, and oversee inter-discipline design coordination. A key aspect of the role will be assisting and mentoring team members to foster their technical and professional development.
Qualifications & skills:
- Degree qualified Structural Engineer (BEng or MEng)
- Familiarity with seismic, dynamic, and extreme environmental loading is advantageous
- Strong technical design expertise with proficiency in British and international standards / Eurocodes
- Demonstrated skill in preparing bids and proposals, along with a track record of cultivating strong working relationships with clients
- BIM packages knowledge
