Monarch Education are currently supporting a secondary school in Small Heath who are looking to appoint a Food Technology Teacher for a full-time role starting in September. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent, offering a good opportunity for someone looking to settle into a school and build consistency in their teaching. The role involves delivering Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school are looking for someone who can deliver well-structured practical and theory lessons, while supporting students to develop both subject knowledge and confidence. You will be joining a supportive department and will be expected to contribute to planning, assessment and student progress within the subject. Day to day, you can expect to: Deliver Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4 Run practical sessions in a safe and organised way Support students with coursework and written tasks Plan lessons that are accessible to a range of abilities Prepare students for assessments and GCSE content Manage behaviour in line with school expectations Work closely with colleagues within the department To be considered, you will need: QTS Experience teaching Food Technology or Design Technology in a secondary school A good understanding of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum Confidence managing practical lessons and maintaining behaviour Strong organisation and communication skills A reliable and professional approach ECTs are welcome to apply.
