The
Senior Environmental Consultant role:
Stopford are recruiting for a Senior Environmental Consultant to be responsible for providing environmental expertise within Stopford.
Reporting to the Lead Environmental Consultant, the Senior Environmental Consultant role includes the preparation of environmental reports and associated deliverables to support planning and environmental permit applications and liaison with the competent authority.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Environmental Consultant include:
Delivering environmental expertise to clients through the provision of high-quality technical documentation, including reports, calculations, and assessments related to matters such as; environmental risk assessments, air quality, noise impact or permitting. Maintain professional written and verbal communication with clients at all times.
Supporting the preparation of environmental consultancy proposals by preparing manhour estimates and drafting technical content. Assist the Business Development team with environmental input for pre-qualification and tender submissions.
Engaging with regulatory bodies to support permitting and compliance processes, preparing submission materials and managing follow-up communications with relevant authorities as necessary.
Collecting and interpreting environmental data to support assessments, ensuring data integrity and relevance to project goals.
Contributing to maintaining and developing environmental expertise within Stopford by keeping up to date with legislative requirements and best industry practices.
Ensuring environmental services delivered to clients adhere to Stopford's Business Management System and maintain a high standard of quality.
Role requirements for Senior Environmental Consultant include:
Degree in a relevant environmental discipline.
Excellent knowledge of environmental legislation and policy.
Professional affiliation with or membership of appropriate body.
Relevant experience in a consultancy environment or other relevant industry experience.
Experience of providing competent advice to clients and colleagues.
Experience of liaising with the competent authority.
Experience in environmental planning and permitting would be desirable.
Customer focused by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting the needs of others.
Excellent communication skills – both written and oral.
Working knowledge of Office 365 including One Drive and Sharepoint with proficient use of Word and Excel.
Eligible to live and work in the UK.
Full UK/EEC driving licence.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate may be required to achieve and maintain security clearance of at least Security Check level (SC clearance) for this role.
