Job Title: Systems Engineer (12-Month Contract - Outside IR35) Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week on-site) Contract Duration: 12 months Hourly Rate: Competitive, depending on experience Contract Type: Contract (Outside IR35) About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team for a 12-month contract. This role will focus on Requirements Management, Certification processes, and Project Engineering aspects within a collaborative engineering environment. The position is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days on-site per week. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with facilities engineering leads to define activities and establish Statements of Work (SoW). Work with client leadership to meet project goals, explore new ideas, and implement expansion plans. Manage workload planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure project deadlines are met. Generate engineering estimates as part of work packaging and provide support during project phases. Drive risk management, ensuring quality assurance and customer satisfaction throughout the project. Work transparently with engineering teams to report on progress, risks, and opportunities. Conduct technical and feasibility studies and site investigations to guide decision-making. Develop detailed requirement specifications and support projects through all engineering lifecycles. Assess potential risks, implement mitigation strategies, and manage project changes as they evolve. Facilitate governance meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment across stakeholders. Bring operational best practices and lessons learned from past engagements to improve project outcomes. Prepare and review technical reports and documentation to ensure clarity and accuracy. Work Experience & Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and IBM DOORS for requirements management. Strong understanding of the project lifecycle, from concept to operations and maintenance. Knowledge of various engineering disciplines and the interfaces between systems. Experience in Requirements Engineering, from developing use cases to certification. Familiarity with design and construction phases, particularly in a dock environment, is advantageous.
