BERMUDA. PHLEBOTOMIST REGISTERED NURSE VACANCY

The client is now looking for a PHLEBOTOMIST NURSE.
Key responsibilities include:
* Functions as a member of a team to ensure smooth and efficient blood collection process
* Provides skilled nursing care for clients who experience adverse reactions prior to, during and after blood drawing procedures
* Manages donor deferrals
* Administers injections as appropriate
* Performs therapeutic aphaeresis and outpatient blood collection as needed

* 3-year contracts
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a nurse role
* Graduate of Nursing with current registration from country of training/origin
* Eligible for registration with the Bermuda Nursing Council
* Day-to-day coordination of a Blood Donor Center would be an asset
* Current certifications: CPR, ACLS preferred
* Must have current CPR certification Venipuncture and Aphaeresis experience
* Knowledge of Terumo BCT instrument would be an asset
* Knowledge of component preparation would be an asset
* Excellent English
