Are you an experienced and motivated professional ready to lead and inspire? We are seeking a Registered Children's Home Manager for a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity at a specialist residential service in Hertfordshire.
This is a vital leadership role where you'll be responsible for the operational and safeguarding standards of a high-quality children's residential home. You will lead a dedicated team to provide a safe, nurturing environment for young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, ensuring they receive the care, support, and structure they need to thrive.
You'll work closely with senior leadership and external agencies, manage the home in line with Ofsted regulations, and be a key figure in driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring compassion, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to the wellbeing of young people.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the residential home in accordance with Ofsted and Children's Home Regulations
* Oversee all aspects of safeguarding, compliance, and care delivery
* Line manage and support staff, ensuring ongoing training and development
* Create a child-centred culture with strong behaviour and emotional support frameworks
* Maintain effective relationships with families, professionals, and partner agencies
* Monitor quality standards and implement improvement plans
* Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections
* Ensure robust care planning and outcomes tracking for each child
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People's Services)
* Minimum 2 years' experience managing a children's residential home
* Strong working knowledge of Children's Home Regulations and Ofsted frameworks
* Experience supporting children with complex emotional, behavioural, or SEMH needs
* Effective leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* A calm, resilient, and solution-focused approach
* Full UK driving licence preferred
