ServiceNow Analyst

Permanent Full-Time position, offering a salary of up to £31,500.
Over the years Mears has continued to excel in its use and development of systems to support our key contracts the success of this is built on a foundation of a highly skilled and motivated team members.
Mears continue to push the envelope for their solutions, delivering responsive, secure and performant applications across a varied mix of platforms. To support this, it is essential that the software is fit for purpose, delivers on its promises and is bug free.
We have recently completed a number of big projects and have more in the pipeline and as such we are looking to expand our team as investment in the platform continues.
About the role:
As a ServiceNow Analyst you will support IT and central services in developing use of the product; Assessing and analysing the current performance and quality of service provision delivered though ServiceNow. You will be involved in recognising, developing and recommending improvements to processes, systems as appropriate and in line with external trends and goals and objectives.
You will develop and implement the necessary infrastructure, such as knowledge management, quality control systems and customer engagement in order to evidence effectiveness and value for money.
Providing the vital link between our information technology capacity and our business objectives and be able to identify, investigate, and resolve issues within the platform.
Key Elements to the role:
* Define configuration specifications ServiceNow requirements
* Define reporting and alerting requirements
* Own and develop relationship with wider IT team, working with them to optimize and enhance our offering
* Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to service delivery team
* Communicate key insights and findings to service delivery team
* Identifies and assesses options for the implementation of new or improved business processes
* Develop and articulate a detailed understanding of existing processes and systems for capturing and delivering information to support planned growth and service expansion
* Highlight opportunities for procedure improvements or enhancements, and ensure all processes are fully documented
* Ability to hold a technical conversation and then translate to non-technical people how this looks and how it will effect/influence the business
* Work with change management activities to implement approved new or alternative business processes
* Work closely with Service Delivery functions to ensure business solutions are appropriately tailored to customer/business requirements
* Identify opportunities for process automation/customer self-serve/digital transformation where appropriate and recommend relevant/realistic solutions
* Manage necessary change management activities to implement approved new or alternative business processes
* Ensure the development of functional requirements that meet the division's goals, objectives, work practices and environment
* Gather the requirements of the business when implementing new ways of working to ensure the project reaches a successful conclusion

Person specification:
* Experience of IT operations, such as incident response, change and request management.
* Demonstrable enthusiasm for working in IT and an ability to solve abstract IT problems, providing efficient and effective solutions in a timely manner.
* Evidence of an organised and structured approach to work.
* A proven ability to communicate easily, enthusiastically, and professionally with a range of customers.
* A drive to complete ServiceNow training courses
* Experience of working in an Agile environment
Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
* Knowledge of ServiceNow platform administration expertise, including but not limited to configuration, workflows, scripting, customisations, data management/process (e.g. with users, groups, subscriptions, locations, hardware assets, CMDB)
* Application development experience with an understanding of best practice
