Payroll Administrator/Manager – Join Our Friendly Tonbridge Team!
Are you detail-focused, organised, and passionate about payroll?
We’re a small, welcoming Accountancy Practice in Tonbridge looking for a Payroll Administrator to grow with us. Whether you want full-time or part-time hours (28–35 per week), if you have payroll experience and want to be part of a supportive team that values your skills, this could be your next role!
What You’ll Do:
• Process payroll accurately and on time for our clients, making sure everything complies with legal and company standards.
• Handle employer pension (auto-enrolment) filings and keep payroll data safe and confidential.
• Enter and update payroll info — new hires, leavers, changes — quickly and correctly.
• Spot and fix any payroll discrepancies before they become issues.
• Work directly with employers to confirm hours and benefits.
• Prepare payroll reports and file RTIs with HMRC.
• Occasionally send payment authorisations using Telleroo.
• Stay sharp on payroll rules and best practices to keep us compliant.
What We’re Looking For:
• At least 1 year of payroll administration experience (accountancy practice or HR environment a plus).
• Comfortable using payroll software (we currently use BrightPay but are open to other tools).
• Organised, able to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines without stress.
• Clear communicator, confident dealing directly with clients and employers.
• Able to work 4–5 days a week, eager to help us build and improve our payroll services. Growth and promotion opportunities await you!
