The Bedford Hotel Belfast is seeking a Food & Beverage Events Manager to join its exceptional opening team. With 82 beautifully appointed bedrooms, a destination restaurant, café/bar, and exclusive private dining rooms, The Bedford Hotel Belfast will set new standards for hospitality in Northern Ireland. Role Responsibilities As Food & Beverage Events Manager, you will work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to develop and implement sales plans across the key Food & Beverage Areas. You will oversee all Food & Beverage reservations, maximising sales whilst ensuring quality service and standards focusing on the guest experience. The key responsibilities of the role will include but not be limited to: As the first point of contact, take responsibility for all Food & Beverage reservation enquiries. Daily management of Food & Beverage reservation systems, maximising sales opportunities. Ensure reservations are within hotel operations capabilities, allowing for an excellent and efficient guest focused experience. Drive sales to maximise revenue, ensuring budgets are met. Build long lasting professional relationships with guests, ensuring they view The Bedford Hotel Belfast as their go to destination. Continuously review reservations, finding ways to enhance the guest experience. Conduct site visits for potential corporate clients, VIP guests and private dine enquiries. Assist the Sales and Marketing Director in securing business opportunities where possible. Create bespoke packages for guests, acknowledging special occasions and celebrations. Develop sales initiatives and strategies, finding ways to continuously drive business. Work closely with the Restaurant Management team, with frequent collaboration on reservation procedures. When necessary, assist the Restaurant Management team during service, gaining a first-hand insight into reservation operations. Ensure you have a sound knowledge of the local area regarding history, places of interest and special events and where further information can be obtained. Ensure all procedures & day-to-day performance comply with legislative and hotel guidelines e.g. Health & Safety, Food Handling & Hygiene Legislation etc. Complete any other reasonable tasks as delegated by your Line Manager. Key Requirements Previous Restaurant Management and/ or Sales Management experience, preferably in a hotel environment. Pro-active in upselling and anticipating customer needs, as well as improving the bottom line. Excellent customer service skills, standards driven, good organisational skills. Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style. Previous experience in using restaurant reservations systems.
