The Fast Track to Care Programme
This initiative aims to equip individuals with the skills needed for a sustainable career in care. In partnership with WeCare Wales’ Introduction to Social Care course, the programme offers ongoing training and support post-online training to facilitate your transition into employment.

* Description: The Fast Track to Care ‘training to become a carer’ programme, launched by the Vale of Glamorgan Council, collaborates with the Introduction to Social Care course to upskill candidates and fill vacancies across the care sector.
This approach provides a streamlined pathway into social care for those with little or no experience. It may be ideal if you:
* Are seeking a career in care or transitioning from another sector
* Want free training to help you secure a social care job
The scheme partners with over 20 care providers in the Vale, including the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
The programme begins with a 3-day online training provided by WeCare Wales. After completing this course, you can register for additional tailored training.

Upon Completion
After completing the Introduction to Social Care course, you will gain access to ongoing support through the Vale’s team. Please send your certificate of completion to us, and we will contact you with further steps.
You can start applying for jobs immediately and sign up for further training through the Vale of Glamorgan Council, which offers tailored training and guidance to help you find a suitable role. For more information, contact us with your certificate.
