Are you looking for a new opportunity? Are you passionate about working with children and young people? Are you enthusiastic about developing excellent and inclusive services with young people to enhance their wellbeing, happiness and opportunities? We are recruiting for the Sedgemoor For Our Future (SFOF) service in partnership with Barnardo's Co-op Partnership. You will work directly with young people, facilitating regular spaces and opportunities where they can come together to learn, connect and develop skills.
We run 2 weekly groups for young people aged 10-18:
* Tuesdays in Highbridge – 4.30pm – 6pm
* Wednesdays in Bridgwater – 4.30pm – 6pm

Responsibilities
* Facilitate regular spaces and opportunities for young people to come together
* Support activities that help young people learn to cook, eat together, make new friends and connect
* Provide a safe, welcoming environment and support young people to talk about things that are important to them
* Lead games, activities and discussions that help young people learn new skills and develop confidence and teamwork
* Design and deliver groupwork sessions for young people
* Offer emotional and practical support to young people in line with safeguarding policies and procedures
* Work flexibly, including some evenings and occasional weekends, to meet the needs of young people
* Work in partnership with key community organisations while keeping young people at the centre
Requirements / Qualifications
* Confident and creative in engaging and working with young people aged 10-25 years
* Skilled in designing and delivering groupwork sessions for young people
* Able to provide emotional and practical support to young people in line with safeguarding policies and procedures
* Flexible in working hours, including some evenings and occasional weekends
* Able to work in partnership with key community organisations while keeping young people at the centre
Pay & Benefits
The Pay & Reward Framework aims to be fair, attractive and progressive. Starting salaries may be at the minimum to mid-point of the pay band, with pay steps awarded based on contribution to excellence and alignment with Barnardo's values and behaviours.
