We would like to invite applicants to apply for the Clinical Fellow post in Intensive Care Medicine at Ipswich Hospital.
The Critical Care Unit at Ipswich Hospital is a 22-bedded modern facility located on the first floor of the Garrett Anderson Centre. The unit is fully accredited for FICM training (stage 3) and contributes to regional and medical student education (final year Cambridge students).
Responsibilities include:
* Participate in the delivery of high-quality care in the Critical Care Unit
* Hold the 055 ICU bleep and respond to referral
* Participate in ICU on-call rota (1:8 weekends)
* Support patient transfers to regional neurosurgical/cardiothoracic centres (following training)
* Assist with paediatric stabilisation prior to specialist team transfers
* Opportunity to gain basic echocardiography accreditation (e.g. FICE)
* Shift pattern includes daytime, evening, and weekend work
