Key Details:
* SEMH Teaching Assistant, focused on providing support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* Full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
* Temporary position initially, with potential for progression to a permanent contract.
* Earn hourly wages starting from £12.90 per hour with the convenience of weekly pay.
* Start date: Immediately or September 2024.
This role is well-suited for recent graduates or experienced teaching assistants who are passionate about working within mental health in an educational setting. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with selected students in the school who are facing mental health difficulties and low self-esteem. Your primary responsibility will be to support their learning and help them overcome barriers to education.
Daily duties may include:
* Providing one-to-one support to students aged 11-16.
* Managing challenging behaviour.
* Assisting students in improving their confidence and self-esteem.
* Ensuring regular school attendance.
* Prioritising safeguarding and student well-being.
* Collaborating with teachers to ensure completion of assigned work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
