The role
As a procurement enablement specialist you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary.Babcock Corporate Services (BCS) is a global function, which supplies and operates all IT, Security, Procurement, and Finance Shared Services. We are embedded alongside the operations that we serve, enabling us to maintain close working relationships which support delivery to our customers.
Day to day, you’ll develop and implement effective R2P solutions based on group category selected suppliers to enable the business to transact.
Additionally, you will also be required to:
1. Ensure a consistent approach to the development of guided buying solutions (catalogue and forms), with a focus on the end user experience.
2. Document standard processes and interfaces, addressing any dependencies
3. Produce detailed flow charts that provide clear responsibilities and accountabilities to make the transactional interface work.
4. Develop check list based on experience – knowledge sharing and building on experience for future activities.
5. Support the cXML supplier implementation for Punchout Catalogues, Purchase Order & Invoice transmission.
This role is a full time/ permanent position based remotely with occasional travel to Portsmouth on a monthly basis.
The successful candidate can work compliantly from any Babcock site or location. OR on site + (location) with hybrid working from home arrangements.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential experience of the Procurement Enablement Specialist:
6. Hands on approach; Problem solver
7. Experience implementing Coupa (desirable) and setting up catalogues / Forms / questionnaires
8. Detailed knowledge and Experience of working with the Requisition to Pay process.
9. Comfortable with Excel
10. Ability to ensure deadlines and targets are achieved or surpassed
11. Experience of working with high volumes and responding to multiple priorities effectively in parallel
12. Can come from a procrement coordinator or buyer background (Indirect)
