Team Leader
You'll start life as a Team Leader by joining our 'Care Academy' – 4 weeks of off the job training with experienced WG professionals to help you feel confident and ready to support our young people.

Working in our Children's Homes means being part of a young person's day‑to‑day life. This means being there for the highest highs and lowest lows. Our team leaders enable our young people to get their childhood back and create pathways to become well‑rounded adults. The role will involve challenges but also small moments of victory that bring immense satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day support and care for young people in our homes.
- Ensure the smooth running of the home and maintain high standards of service delivery.
- Build and nurture relationships with young people, staff and families.
- Support the staff team, fostering a positive and supportive culture.
- Step up to deputise for the Registered and Deputy Managers when required.
- Actively promote safeguarding and the welfare of the young people under our care.
Qualifications
- A 'can do' attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to help others.
- Honesty and empathy – qualities essential to caring for young people.
- Resilience to handle challenging situations.
- A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
- Level 3 Children’s Residential Care qualification.
Benefits
- Base salary of £35,400 – £42,664.
- Additional pay: up to 3 paid sleep‑ins per month (£80 each), Attendance allowance (£1,400), Regional allowance (£2,000), Responsibility allowance (£1,500), Welcome bonus (£1,000) after successful completion of probation, and Loyalty bonus (£1,000) after 12 months.
