A unique opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist with experience in home health, healthcare, and school-based settings to support K-12 students on a contract basis for the current school year. This role is located in Dothan, AL, serving a dynamic educational environment focused on maximizing each students functional independence and participation.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver occupational therapy services to students, addressing physical, sensory, cognitive, and developmental needs
* Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans consistent with educational goals
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals within the classroom setting
* Provide direct intervention and monitor student progress, adjusting therapy approaches as needed
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in pliance with school and regulatory standards
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
* Valid Occupational Therapy licensure
* Proven experience in home health and healthcare OT services
* Background in school-based occupational therapy supporting K12 students
* Strong knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques
* Excellent munication and teamwork skills to effectively engage students, families, and educators
* Ability to manage caseloads effectively and adapt to a contract role with a fixed duration
