What you’ll be doing
as a SOM (Site Operating Manual) Coordinator
You will support the Integrated Management Systems (IMS) Team in achieving its objectives, including identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities within management systems and the broader business.
Other responsibilities:
1. Efficiently coordinate input from various technical and operational experts across the business to ensure the SOM review programme progresses according to plan.
2. Ensure the accuracy of SOMs and related documentation, updating them as per requirements or as part of a continuous improvement review programme. Proactively manage corrective action management and document change requests to ensure all actions are completed within agreed timescales.
3. Promote fully compliant SOM processes in line with business requirements and standards, contributing to action plans to address any gaps.
4. Contribute to the overall IMS team objectives, proactively taking on actions to continuously improve the management systems.
5. Contribute to the development and maintenance of regular reports to measure the progress of the SOM review programme against the agreed key performance indicators (KPIs).
Base location: Hybrid - Clearwater Court - RG1 8DB
Working pattern or hours: 36 hours, Monday- Friday
What you should bring to the role:
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:
6. Proven experience in documentation management within a technical environment and delivering large volumes of document updates.
7. Project planning and organisational experience
8. Experience of working with and applying quality controls
9. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
10. Experienced user of Microsoft products such as SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint
11. Higher Education, minimum HNC or equivalent, in a relevant discipline.
Additional skills and experiences would be great to have/bring:
12. Previous experience gained within the water industry and/or other industries with a significant asset base.
13. Previous experience working within the context of a quality management system
14. Proficiency in using Power BI for report creation and updates, along with practical experience in workflow and automation tools.
