The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
Report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and Shift Maintenance Technicians.
This role is crucial for maintaining site safety standards, ensuring compliance with site and industry regulations, and operating as a top-tier COMAH Site. You will work closely with operations to meet quality standards related to ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP, including cross-contamination prevention.
Your responsibilities include:
* Taking full responsibility for all Mechanical Maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely and promptly.
* Collaborating with the Planning & Scheduling team and Site Engineers to enhance plant reliability.
* Managing the Mechanical Maintenance team, including work allocation, reviewing work packs, and ensuring RAMS are adequate.
* Monitoring work progress, documenting work in the CMMS system, and closing out work orders.
* Handling timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary matters, and deputizing for the Maintenance Manager.
* Developing job packs, RAMS, and schedules to optimize maintenance activities.
* Contributing to Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and follow-up actions to improve equipment performance.
* Addressing mechanical faults and work delivery issues promptly.
* Promoting a safety-focused culture and ensuring compliance with SHEQ standards during maintenance tasks.
* Supervising external OEM contractors and coordinating compliance inspections and future PM tasks.
This role is vital for maintaining safety, quality, and reliability standards across the site.
