Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical & Electronics Assembly Technician to support the assembly of precision mechanical and electronic assemblies. The successful candidate will assemble components according to engineering drawings, schematics, and documented work instructions while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Assemble mechanical components and electronic assemblies according to engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
* Perform soldering, wiring, cable harness assembly, and mechanical integration tasks
* Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments to assemble components accurately
* Interpret technical drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), wiring diagrams, and assembly procedures
* Ensure work is performed in accordance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management system requirements
Requirements
* Technical diploma, vocational training, or equivalent experience in electronics, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field
* Experience in mechanical assembly and/or electronic assembly in a manufacturing or workshop environment
* Experience with soldering electronic components, cable harnessing, and wiring assemblies
* Experience following quality assurance processes and reporting non-conformances
* Understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
* Experience in fast-paced R&D or startup environments, with rapid prototype iteration times
* Experience in aerospace, defence, or high-reliability manufacturing environments
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
