Lusona Consultancy are thrilled to be working on behalf of a growing Housing and development organisation in Lanarkshire to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis. Working on a hybrid model, our client offer a host of support services across Glasgow with a view to grow and develop services across Scotland. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be be part of a team of circa 20 working in a collaborative environment with operations. This is a progressive environment for the right candidate who can grow and develop alongside an ambitious business. This role is offering £47,000 per annum plus benefits including, health care, 5 % employer pension, 38 days holiday and parking on site.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of year end information for statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors. You will assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts of income and expenditure, balance sheet and cashflow and provide sound decision support advice to present to the business. This is a hands on technical and commercial role Identifying where process improvements can be made with autonomy to lead the implementation of changes. You will also be responsible for the Preparation of the monthly management accounts, investigation of variances to inform commentary and work with a variety of stakeholders across the team.
This role would be suited to an experience accountant or first mover from the profession who is looking to utilise technical skills and develop in a commercial environment. Good systems knowledge, FRS experience and stakeholder management skills are essential in addition to a formal ICAS/ACCA/CIMA accounting qualification.
