About the role
The purpose of this post is to improve the mental health and protection of Children and Young People who are known to the Safeguarding Service, either as Children in Need, on Child Protection Plans or Looked after and putting them at the centre of all you do. As a Systemic Psychotherapist in the safeguarding Service for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for:
* Providing systemic consultation and reflective spaces to professionals, particularly our social workers and the team.
* Undertaking systemic assessments of cases which may be complex in nature in order to formulate, plan and deliver a range of interventions.
* Delivering systemic psychotherapy treatment to children and families who are open to the safeguarding team, as appropriate.
* Providing clinical supervision to qualified therapists, as required.
* Provide systemic work-shops, training sessions to AfC staff.

About you
To be a Clinical Specialist / Systemic Psychotherapist at AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points:
* Be qualified as a Systemic Psychotherapist and registered with UKCP.
* Be qualified as a Social Worker (desirable).
* Be able to provide consultation and training to a wide range of professionals.
* Have CAMHS experience in working with complex and vulnerable families.
* Be able to undertake systemic assessments and deliver high-quality therapy to children and families.

Start dates: Achieving for Children have set start dates meaning successful candidates join on a set date in each month. Candidates are advised to prepare for this should a job offer be accepted to ensure eligible continuous service is not affected.
