Geography Teacher – Portsmouth
Start Date: October 2025
Contract: Long-Term (until December 2025, with potential to go permanent)
Pay: £160 – £240 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm | Full-Time

Overview:
Supply Desk is working with a secondary school in Portsmouth to recruit a motivated and passionate Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department from October 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position through to December 2025, with strong potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.
Role Responsibilities:
* Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
* Contribute to departmental planning and enrichment activities.
* Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Candidate Requirements:
* Degree in Geography or related field (essential).
* QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification (preferred).
* Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Geography.
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
* Enthusiasm for Geography and student development.
