Job Description:

Operations Coordinator | Out of Hours | Permanent

Salary: £18.31 per hour plus bank holidays

Location: Letchworth

Hours: Saturday & Sunday shifts between 08:00 and 18:00, 18 hours a week including all bank holidays

We seek a dedicated Operations Coordinator to support our growth and improve our operations daily.

We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator who enjoys coordinating team activities to ensure efficient operations, excellent customer service, and building strong relationships with staff and clients.

Main responsibilities include:

* Answering phone lines promptly and professionally
* Arranging collections, transit routes, and deliveries
* Tracking events for bookings and consignments
* Coordinating with Operations and Imports departments to meet SLA transit times
* Providing updates to customers on exceptions or issues
* Requesting and entering PODs from agents
* Reporting discrepancies to managers
* Providing quotes to customers
* Monitoring emails for the Service Centre
* Working with suppliers to deliver high-quality customer experience

Ideal candidate qualities:

* Experience supporting dispatching or vehicle allocation
* Respectful treatment of colleagues and clients
* Prompt response to customer and supplier needs
* Ensuring timely collection and delivery of jobs
* Effective handling of operational queries
* Proactive suggestions for service improvements
* Good listening skills and empathy
* Self-motivated with minimal supervision

The successful candidate will undergo a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Conditional offers are subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
