Civil Setting Out Engineer (Resident Engineer) - National Grid Substation Location: Pembrokeshire Rate: £400 per day CIS Duration: 7 Months Essential: NG Persons ticket and previous experience delivering civil works on National Grid sites. Turner Lovell is looking for a Civil Setting Out Engineer (Resident Engineer) to support the delivery of a National Grid substation project in Pembrokeshire. This is a site-based role focused on accurate setting out, maintaining technical standards, and supporting the civils team to deliver the works safely and to programme. You will play a key role on site ensuring the civils package is delivered in line with National Grid Technical Specifications (NGTS) and approved construction drawings. Key Responsibilities Carry out accurate setting out of line and level using surveying equipment to support civil construction activities. Ensure works are delivered in accordance with National Grid Technical Specifications (NGTS) and project drawings. Maintain control of all civil drawings and documentation on site, ensuring teams are working to the latest revisions. Support the civil construction team with constructability reviews and technical input during delivery. Raise and manage Technical Queries (TQs) where design or construction issues arise. Assist with supplier and subcontractor quotations and raise purchase orders when required. Produce and maintain accurate as-built drawings for completed works. Work alongside the site team to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and compliance. Requirements Previous experience working on National Grid substation projects. Valid NG Persons certification. Strong experience setting out line and level using surveying equipment. Good working knowledge of National Grid Technical Specifications (NGTS).
