About The Role
We are currently looking for a dependable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Lorry Driver to join our growing logistics team. You will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to various destinations, ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with all transport regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle to deliver goods to customers or depots.
Load and unload goods safely and securely.
Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues.
Follow all road safety and company compliance procedures.
Provide excellent customer service at all delivery points.
Product safety and quality: be aware of your responsibilities and accountability involved with product safety, legality and quality systems through training programs against company procedures and work instructions.
Ensure that our products and services meet all necessary specifications before they leave the premises. Observation with a keen eye for detail is required.
Following goods return policy when bringing back product from customer
Unloading orders @ customer ensuring product is in good condition and checking paperwork & quantitys Ensure delivery is signed for.
Checking of the stock quantities and dates as required.
Loading of the delivery vehicles when required, ensuring correct paperwork & quantitys
Delivering orders to customers in a safe manner
Assist with warehouse duties when required.
Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence
Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
Previous experience driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle.
Good knowledge of local and regional routes.
Physically fit and able to handle manual handling tasks.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Forklift licence.
Desirable
Experience in food distribution or similar.
