Workplace Technology Lead (Contract – SC Cleared)
Location: Manchester (Hybrid, 2–3 days on site)
This role requires an experienced Microsoft Co-Pilot Workplace Technology Lead to design, deliver, and optimise enterprise-wide digital workplace solutions. The role requires deep technical command of Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, and modern collaboration tools combined with strategic oversight and stakeholder alignment across business and IT functions.
Responsibilities
* Lead the planning, design, and implementation of workplace technology initiatives across the organisation.
* Oversee end-user technology, collaboration platforms, and device management, ensuring secure and compliant operations.
* Develop and deliver a workplace technology roadmap aligned with organisational strategy and security frameworks.
* Manage a small engineering team and external vendors to ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
* Embed AI-driven automation and productivity solutions through Microsoft Copilot Studio and low/no-code integration platforms.
* Apply best practices for information protection, data governance, and regulatory compliance.
* Provide technical leadership on Copilot agent development, custom connector integration, and Graph API utilisation.
* Champion continuous improvement and innovation in end-user experience, automation, and service delivery.
* Copilot Studio & GenAI: Design and integration of custom Copilot agents, connectors, and plugins.
* Security & Compliance: Information Protection (MIP), DLP, Purview, and governance frameworks.
* Integration & APIs: Graph API, Power Automate, third-party app integrations.
* Architecture Knowledge: End-user device management, cloud collaboration, and digital workplace engineering.
Experience & Qualifications
* Minimum 5+ years in enterprise IT, with at least 3 years delivering Microsoft 365 and Copilot solutions.
* Prior experience in public sector or regulated environments desirable.
* Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* Demonstrable expertise in stakeholder management and technology governance.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Proven ability to operate under pressure and manage ambiguity.
* Values-driven leader with focus on collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
