Cranfield Airport is a commercial, research, and General Aviation (GA) airport situated between Bedford and Milton Keynes, serving as the home base for many corporate and private aircraft owners.
We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Airport Operations & Fuel Officer to work efficiently within a small airport team, including Operations, Fuel, Air Traffic Control, Engineering, Fire Fighting, and Safety sections.
This role involves carrying out Airport Operations, Aircraft Fueling, and related administrative tasks. Responsibilities include managing airport documentation, monitoring regulatory compliance, issuing documentation, processing crane permit applications via Airport Accounts, raising purchase orders, and general office management. After completing training, you will act as Duty Airport Operations Manager, responsible for movement area inspections.
The position is primarily operations-focused, with occasional aircraft refueling support for the Fuel team.
Reporting to the Airport Operations & Fuel Manager, you must be well-organized to ensure smooth daily operations at Cranfield. Timely refueling of aircraft is critical, and you should be able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
