Care Assistant – Richmond Villages, Northampton

Salary: £13.10 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full‑time
Shifts: 12 hours, 07:00–19:00, rotating weekends
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with high standards of clinical, social and emotional care.
* Recognise and meet the specific needs of residents.
* Answer emergency bells or calls from residents, assess the situation, and summon senior care staff when necessary.
* Assist residents with activities of daily living, including meal preparation, washing, dressing, toileting and personal hygiene as documented in their care plan.
* Help residents with mobility problems, including transfers using appropriate equipment and assisting with the use of aids and personal equipment.
* Provide support ranging from companionship to detailed personal care.
* Work as part of a team supporting the senior care assistant in monitoring residents and reporting changes.
* Communicate with residents’ families, friends and other healthcare professionals.
* Complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process – Bupa will cover the cost (£40).
