Registered Manager - Social Worker, Ofsted experienced
Salary - £50k + Bonus
Location: Northampton NN3
Main functions of the job:
To ensure all regulatory requirements are met and that staff are aware of relevant regulations.
To provide leadership in administration, care, and people management for our fostering organization.
To promote high-quality training for staff and foster carers.
To manage services within the agency according to standards, legislation, and best practices.
Supervisory responsibilities:
Manage each service function within the agency.
Current agency size: 11 carers, 2 supervising social workers.
Main Duties:
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with the Responsible Individual.
* Create an open, positive, and inclusive management culture.
* Manage the agency's budget within objectives and revenue.
* Participate in policy development and strategic planning.
* Evaluate agency performance against goals.
* Establish effective employer-employee relationships.
* Minimize legal risks.
* Maintain management information systems.
* Advise on organizational structure changes.
* Ensure policies and procedures comply with regulations and standards.
* Implement standards related to legislation and Ofsted registration.
* Participate in employee remuneration discussions.
* Design and evaluate quality assurance programs.
* Prepare for Ofsted inspections.
Management of Human Resources:
* Recruit, select, and train staff within budget.
* Develop staffing plans and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
* Ensure appropriate job descriptions and induction processes.
* Support staff development and promote effective team resolution.
* Foster a high-performance work environment.
Professional Leadership:
* Encourage innovative foster care delivery methods.
* Promote health and education for children in care.
* Engage with local meetings and training institutions.
* Seek personal and professional growth opportunities.
* Maintain a positive organizational image.
Working hours:
To be agreed during interview.
Qualifications required:
Regulations require managers to have necessary qualifications, skills, and experience, including the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (must be completed within 18 months if not already held).
Degree in social work and HCPC registration preferred.
Experience as a manager in the fostering sector is desirable.
