Adi Lean Manufacturing and Design – Design Engineer
Location – Tyburn, Birmingham
About the Role
As a Design Engineer, you will collaborate with the current engineering team to design jigs and fixtures, assembly benches, as well as semi-automated and automated production cells. Your expertise will be integral in optimising our clients' manufacturing processes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Working with the lean manufacturing and design team to design machinery for the automotive, aerospace, and other industries related to the services provided by the division.
* Designing fixtures, jigs, assembly benches, and semi-automated to fully automated machines to assist customers in their manufacturing processes.
* Issuing manufacturing drawings and coordinating with the workshop.
* Following up with manufacturing to ensure accurate interpretation of drawings and successful project execution.
* Overseeing project commissioning.
* Liaising with customers to build and maintain relationships.
* Ensuring that all designs for projects meet company standards.
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
* Experience with SolidWorks and PDM.
* Extensive experience in a design or mechanical engineering role is essential.
* Experience with Catia V5 in Mechanical Design is an added advantage.
* Attention to detail.
* A proactive approach to taking ownership of tasks.
* A full UK driving license.
