About the School
A specialist provision in Shaftesbury is seeking a confident and experienced HLTA to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, SEMH and learning difficulties.
The school provides a structured, nurturing environment where pupils are supported to develop academically, socially and emotionally, with a strong emphasis on consistency, routine and positive relationships.

Your Role
You will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, delivering planned lessons, leading targeted interventions and providing cover where required.
You will work closely with teaching staff to adapt learning materials, monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessment and planning. The role also involves supporting pupils’ emotional regulation, promoting engagement and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment at all times.
Experience supporting pupils with complex needs or challenging behaviours would be highly beneficial.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a confident practitioner with HLTA status or equivalent experience, who is comfortable leading learning activities and supporting a wide range of needs.
Strong communication, organisation and a proactive approach are essential, alongside a genuine commitment to supporting pupils with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
