Job Summary
The Activities Co-Ordinator plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents at Perdiswell Rose care Home. This position is responsible for planning, organising, and implementing engaging activities that cater to the interests and needs of seniors, particularly those with dementia care requirements. The Activities Co-Ordinator will work closely with residents, staff, and families to create a vibrant community atmosphere that promotes social interaction and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a diverse range of activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
* Coordinate with care staff to ensure activities are suitable for residents with varying levels of cognitive function, including those requiring dementia care.
* Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages participation from all residents.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote upcoming events and gather feedback on activities.
* Maintain accurate records of participation and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes to continually improve offerings.
* Collaborate with external organisations and volunteers to enhance activity options available to residents.
* Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations while promoting a safe environment for all participants.
