Waste and Recycling is collected from every resident and in Powys we are one of the best performing Councils in Wales which as a country is third in the world for recycling! About you:
You must hold at least an HGV Class 2 Driving Licence.
You must take pride in your work, be reliable, and willing to work as part of a
team to get the job done.
You must be committed to helping increase recycling in Powys.
Flexible, positive, approachable and committed to making a difference to the
local community we live in as the first point of contact for the service.
Enjoy working outdoors in all weathers throughout the year.
Able to follow instructions for your own and colleagues health and safety.
What you will do:
Drive and load a variety of waste and recycling collection vehicles, taking
responsibility for the vehicle throughout the working day.
Make sure that residents are putting out the correct things for recycling in the
right containers and leaving information if they are not.
Unload the vehicle at the transfer stations, following all site rules.
Report any problems to Supervisors so that residents receive a quality service.
Other activities such as working at the transfer stations, making deliveries and bulky waste collections.

Service: Highways, Transport and Recycling
Salary: Grade 6Point 11 to Point 14£28,142 to £29,540 per annum£14.58 to £15.31 per hour
