Are you highly organised, confident with written communication, skilled with IT and interested in supporting effective governance in education and beyond?
Norfolk County Council's Governance Service is looking for Governance Professionals (Clerks) to join our friendly and supportive team.
You will play a key role in helping governing boards across Norfolk and neighbouring counties to operate effectively, providing administrative support, accurate minutes, and clear advice on governance procedures and statutory requirements.
A driving licence and access to your own transport are essential. This is not just a minute-taking job; it's about supporting good governance in schools, trusts and other educational organisations.
The role is flexible, predominantly home-based, alongside attending meetings in governance settings, often in the evening. We aim to match you with schools within a reasonable travelling distance of your home and you will receive a laptop, an email account, induction training, regular support and ongoing professional development.
You will be expected to work with a portfolio of governing boards and can build up further meetings if desired.
We're particularly keen to hear from applicants in the west and east of the county.
