We're supporting a national, multi-site organisation undergoing significant growth and organisational development as they appoint a new Head of HR
.
This is a newly created leadership role reporting directly into the Chief People Officer and offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the next phase of the People function.
You'll lead HR operations across the business, provide leadership to a team of HR professionals (Business Partners & HR Ops), and act as the organisation's subject matter expert on employment law, organisational change and workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of 3 HR Business Partners and 2 operational HR colleagues
Provide expert guidance on employee relations, employment law and organisational change
Lead consultations, restructures and workforce planning initiatives
Drive succession planning and talent capability programmes
Improve leadership capability across the organisation
Ensure HR policies, procedures and compliance frameworks remain fit for purpose
Support senior leaders on complex people matters About You
We're keen to speak with experienced HR leaders who can combine strong technical expertise with a pragmatic and people-focused approach.
Candidates must have experience in TUPE & ideally been in a business through a buy & build phase.
You'll likely bring:
Significant HR operational leadership experience
Strong employment law knowledge
Experience leading restructures and consultations
Workforce and succession planning experience
Previous leadership of HR Business Partners or People teams
A collaborative, approachable leadership style Sector background is less important than capability and cultural fit.
