You will join one of the UK’s leading financial services companies, who have built their success by putting people at the heart of their organisation by identifying and delivering products and services that are right for their customers. My client is looking for a Data Modeller to play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support our enterprise data strategy. You’ll collaborate closely with Architecture, Data Product, and Engineering teams to build scalable, high‑performing data solutions within our modern data platform.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing and modelling data structures aligned to strategic data products and long‑term business outcomes
* Developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models using industry best practice
* Ensuring alignment with enterprise reference architecture and governance standards
* Analysing data integration challenges and recommending effective solutions
* Identifying reuse opportunities across existing models and improving modelling consistency
Essential Skills
* Strong experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models
* Knowledge of normalisation, denormalisation, and best‑practice modelling techniques
* Understanding of metadata management, data governance, and data quality frameworks
* Proficiency with SQL and ideally one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, PySpark)
* Experience with database technologies and data warehousing principles (star schema, snowflake, data vault)
* Experience working with cloud data services specifically with AWS (including Redshift and S3)
* Banking industry background
