We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Office / Sales Administrator to join our small, supportive sales team. This is a varied role where you will play a key part in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the smooth running of a busy sales office.
As a first point of contact for many customers, you will use your strong communication skills and professional telephone manner to build relationships, understand customer needs, and ensure orders and administrative tasks are processed accurately and efficiently.
This role is a good fit for someone with experience in a busy office, sales administration, or trade environment who is looking for a long-term, secure position.
Key Responsibilities
* Receiving and processing customer orders
* Generating invoices for customers and suppliers
* Answering incoming telephone calls and assisting customers
* Filing and maintaining organised records
* General office and administrative duties
* Supporting the sales team with day-to-day activities
Skills and Experience Required
* Previous experience working in an office environment
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Friendly, approachable and professional manner
* Strong attention to detail
* Effective time management and organisational skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential)
* Knowledge of Exact Online software
* Experience using accounting / ERP software such as Sage or Xero
* Experience working in a trade or distribution environment
Full training will be provided.
Pay and Benefits
* Hourly rate starting at National Minimum Wage, depending on experience
* Pay review and increase after successful completion of probation
