Job Title: Tax Analyst (Contract)
Location: Liverpool Street, London (Fully On-Site)
Contract Length: 3–4 Months (Potential for Extension)
About the Role:
We’re working with a leading global technology company to hire multiple Tax Analysts for a high-volume data reconciliation and submission project. This is a contract role with strong potential for extension and offers a unique opportunity to work on international operations spanning France, Italy, and Spain.
You’ll be responsible for reviewing previously submitted tax data, identifying discrepancies, and working with internal teams to process corrections ahead of a key July deadline. Although VAT experience would be helpful, this is primarily an analytical role, with a strong focus on accuracy, problem-solving, and working with large volumes of data in Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse submitted tax data for France, Italy, and Spain to identify any discrepancies or corrections required.
* Prepare and process correction files and final submissions in coordination with internal stakeholders.
* Reconcile large sets of financial data using Excel and internal systems.
* Support the compliance process with structured, methodical analysis and clear documentation.
* Liaise with global teams to ensure consistency and alignment of data.
* Handle repetitive but critical data tasks with high attention to detail.
Candidate Profile:
* 1–2 years’ experience in a finance, tax, or accounts assistant/analyst role.
* Strong Excel skills are essential – including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, filters, and handling large data sets.
* Analytical, methodical, and able to work independently with minimal guidance.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
* A recent graduate with a year-in-industry placement at a large company will also be considered.
* Experience in VAT compliance or data analysis would be beneficial, but not required.
