As an Admin Assistant for the Charnwood Neighbourhood team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive administration service to a specific area of the mental health team, including supporting a clinical team. You will also cover reception duties, which include meeting and greeting patients face to face and answering the telephone promptly. This is a part-time role of 22.5 hours per week. The role is diverse, working in a busy and fast-paced environment within a supportive team that values each other.

As an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for telephone enquiries and face-to-face interactions from patients and referrers. You will work proactively as part of the wider administrative and clinical teams, including other services within the Mental Health directorate and Medical Staff. Your duties will include processing referrals, data inputting, supporting the wider teams as needed, and other general administrative tasks.
Requirements include good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, excellent IT skills, and strong organizational and planning skills. The role involves telephone and written communication with patients, service users, family members/carers, GPs, and other NHS and external partner agencies such as Social Care and the Police. You should have good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with service users in a calm and compassionate manner.
