The Recipe (About the Role)
The main focus of this position is to offer expert technical support to our Intake and Supplier Quality Managers. You'll play a crucial role in spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. Your tasks will involve assessing the suitability of incoming raw materials and packaging, verifying their adequacy for use, and swiftly addressing any non-conformances. This role beautifully integrates technical know-how with stakeholder engagement and problem-solving capabilities.
1. Support Materials Quality Managers with due diligence
2. Manage supplier complaints
3. Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformances
4. Drive quality improvements for ingredients and packaging
5. Liaise with Supply Chain regarding customer service impacts
6. Support holds and concession processes with sampling and testing
7. Inspect and sample incoming raw materials and packaging for suitability
8. Obtain and verify Certificates of Analysis for compliance
9. Release ingredients via the ERP system
10. Sample raw materials for monitoring and testing programs
11. Improve the quality consistency of raw materials and packaging
12. Follow all stages of the ingredients trial process
13. Support wheat lab activities
14. Assist in traceability audits (, WSFS, BRC)
15. Adhere to safety standards and report hazards
16. Deputise for Quality Managers as needed

Key Skills
17. Able to demonstrate experience in quality or food safety role
18. Good understanding of materials testing and specifications
19. Experience within food or drink manufacturing business
