Extraordinary Days Every Day

We welcome applicants from backgrounds such as education, youth work, childcare, healthcare, social care, learning disabilities, SEN and community service.

At Inspire, being a Support Worker means more than a job - it’s a chance to shape young lives. Based in our established and friendly home in Cannock, you’ll support children and young people (ages 3–18) with learning disabilities to feel safe, valued and inspired.

From helping with daily routines to sharing laughs over games or cheering on small milestones, you’ll be making a lasting difference. Some days may be challenging, but every smile and every breakthrough makes it worthwhile.

What You’ll Do.

As a Support Worker you will support our young people with their daily routines. This may include helping to get them ready for school, prepping for meal times, planning activities tailored to each individual child's needs, personal care and generally having fun right through to bed time. How is this done?

* Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping
* Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support
* Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, movie nights or getting involved with hobbies and creative projects
* Keep essential records and maintain care plans
* Be an active listener ensuring each child is treated as an individual - we don't do a one size fits all approach

New staff must be comfortable using an electronic care recording system on a daily basis to document, monitor, and update children and young people’s records accurately. Experience with Clearcare is an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided. However, all staff are expected to confidently use digital systems as part of their day-to-day role.

A little about Daisybrook

Our setting is able to meet a wide range of complex needs with care and support delivered by a team of staff who are committed to their roles, responsibilities and the wonderful children who live here.

We recognise that each child’s journey is very different. There is no milestone too small to celebrate for our young people and every day the home is filled with laughter and encouragement. Our strength lies in our ability to remain child focused and in touch with their developing needs.

You will be an anchor of support - built on trust, communication, and a shared commitment to the young people. We support each other through open dialogue and reflective practice. Whether it’s stepping in during a difficult moment, celebrating a child’s progress or simply checking on a colleague’s wellbeing, the team pulls together instinctively.

Who You Are

You will be a naturally supportive person who is able to take satisfaction from seeing our young people develop. We're looking for people who genuinely care and want to make that difference. * Previous experience is preferred or maybe you have cared for a friend or family member
* Full UK driving licence is essential
* Open to ongoing development and learning with help from your friendly team
* Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
* Someone with the desire to take pride in helping others
* Must be able to work a variety of shifts but you will always have a work/life balance
