About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate English Teacher to join a supportive SEN high school in Sale. This is a full‑time position starting as soon as possible, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible English lessons tailored to students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties. The role requires creativity, patience, and a commitment to inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver differentiated English lessons to meet diverse learning needs
* Support students in developing literacy, communication, and confidence
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider SEN team
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches as needed
* Contribute to a positive, safe, and inclusive school environment
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience working with SEN students is highly desirable
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* A nurturing and adaptable approach to teaching
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
