SEN Learning Support Assistant Winchester OR Basingstoke £13.75 per hour | Term Time Only | Monday to Friday We are seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to work within schools in the Winchester or Basingstoke areas. The role involves supporting children and young people aged 4-11 with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN). Positions are based in one location only (either Winchester or Basingstoke). Following application, preferences regarding age groups and types of SEN will be discussed to ensure an appropriate school placement. We work with a range of schools, offering varied and rewarding opportunities within supportive educational environments. The Role: Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN Assisting pupils to access the curriculum and engage in learning Supporting social, emotional, and behavioural development Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff Promoting a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment Example Settings You May Work In: Winchester Area Supporting pupils aged 4-11 with complex learning needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and sensory or physical needs. Schools provide structured and nurturing environments focused on consistency and individual support. Basingstoke Area Working with students aged 11-18 with social, emotional and mental health needs, as well as autism and associated behavioural challenges. The role places a strong emphasis on relationship-building, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning.
