Early finish Fridays! £1,000 signing bonus payable after 6 months. Salary up to £20 per hour dependent upon skill set and experience. Monday to Thursday 07:30hrs to 16:00hrs (1/2 hr unpaid lunch). Friday 07:30hrs to 15:00hrs (1/2 hr unpaid lunch).
We are seeking a qualified HGV Technician to join our team in Scotland.
What You Will Be Doing
* Our Technicians are responsible for carrying out regular MOT service inspections on a wide range of manufacturers’ trucks. Fault finding, carrying out repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension systems, etc.
* Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly
* Assist in the fault diagnosis process
* Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets
* Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license)
* Assist with roadside breakdowns
* Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately
* Ensure all vehicle defects are reported
* Keep all workshop facilities, equipment, and tools clean, tidy and well maintained
* Help us in supporting the development of trainees and apprentices
Who Are You
* Qualified HGV Technicians either NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds, with proven hands-on workshop experience
* Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to inspire and coach others
* Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
* Organised and proactive approach, with a strong focus on customer service
* Flexible team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
